The 8th SAP Conference on Machine Learning (CML) on April 29, 2025 brought together SAP’s AI community both in-person in Walldorf and virtually. Jointly hosted by Corporate Processes & Information Technology and Business AI, the event targeted at all SAP employees who are interested in the technical development of Machine Learning (ML) and AI and provides a networking forum for SAP’s AI practitioners, data scientists and AI engineers. With contributions from both internal and external speakers, the conference continues to highlight the full spectrum of machine learning innovation at SAP.

Anum Afzal presented one of the exciting sessions, talking about AutoRAG+: Efficient and Automatic Optimization for Retrieval Augmented Generation. The presentation introduced AutoRAG+, an enhancement of the original AutoRAG framework. AutoRAG+ leverages advanced optimization methods from AutoML to determine the best strategy, efficiently minimizing time and resource expenditure.
