On July 22nd, the Applied Research Talks, co-hosted by the Predictive Town Hall Meeting, welcomed the Munich Center for Machine Learning (MCML) Pitchtalks. The MCML is one of six national AI Competence Centers funded by the German and Bavarian governments' AI strategy, uniting leading researchers.
In contrast to the traditional single-speaker format, this session featured a lineup of shorter talks.
Three of the affiliated researchers presented their work: Dr. Yunpu Ma (LMU) presenting “Agentic Neural Network”, Ivica Obadic (TUM) about “Explainable AI for Earth Observation Earth Observation”, Maximilian Mutschalik (LMU) with “Shapley Interactions for Machine Learning”, and we ended on a talk by Francesco Capano from SAP, “Secure and Private Collaborative Learning”.
The event concluded with an open networking session, fostering dialogue about cutting-edge technologies between academia and industry.
