Visit of Oerlikon AM in Barleben

Last week, the TUM-Oerlikon Advanced Manufacturing Institute was hosted by Oerlikon AM. Prof. Katrin Wudy and a group of talented PhD students visited the production site in Barleben, Germany. Following a brief introduction, the General Managers, Hendrik Alfter and Marcus Giglmaier, guided the group on a comprehensive tour of the facility.

The experts of Oerlikon AM shared insights into their role in advancing the industrialization of Metal Additive Manufacturing. They provide the complete Additive Manufacturing value chain, encompassing powder development, printing, and post-processing. Exciting discussions on the future of additive manufacturing ensued.
