SAP and Stanford have a long-standing, trusted collaboration in research and education in place. We were thrilled to host Dr. Ahmad Rushdi, Senior Manager for Research Collaborations at the Stanford Human-Centered AI Institute (HAI), at SAP Labs Munich on September 30th, 2025. The goal of this visit was to exchange ideas regarding our ongoing Business AI collaboration.

SAP Labs Munich was represented by Dr. Rüdiger Eichin and Dr. Tobias Müller, who shared valuable insights into the Industry-University Collaboration between SAP and TUM. Following their presentation, Dr. Matthias Uflacker and Dr. Michael Wittmann introduced the Research & Innovation Department, highlighting its current initiatives and areas of focus. Dr. Ahmad Rushdi presented the activities of Stanford HAI, which led to a lively discussion on research topics and future collaboration opportunities.

This visit emphasized the importance of strong partnerships between academia and industry and the valuable opportunities they create for innovation and knowledge exchange.
