During his visit to SAP Labs in Munich on October 1st, 2025, Bavarian State Minister for Science and Arts Markus Blume highlighted the unique features of the SAP Munich campus and the ongoing collaboration between SAP and TUM.
The program opened with a welcome and introduction to the campus by Stefan Wagner, Managing Director of SAP Labs Germany, and Prof. Thomas F. Hofmann, President of TUM. Dr. Rüdiger Eichin provided an overview of the content-focused collaboration between the two institutions. Prof. Florian Matthes presented the Collaboration Lab and the Joule Project, focusing on domain-specific vocabulary recognition. Prof. Stefanie Rinderle-Ma and Nataliia Klievtsova demonstrated simplified process modeling using conversational interaction with a trusted chatbot, and Thorsten Greil highlighted probabilistic planning approaches for resilient supply chains. The visit concluded with a presentation of the SAP STAR Program by Rebekka Germek, accompanied by STAR representatives Alina Ignatova and Henry He.
The visit underscored the importance of strong collaboration between industry and academia, while demonstrating SAP’s commitment to driving innovation and nurturing the next generation of talent.
